The Kohler Wedding

More Details: Our wedding venue really inspired us. Queen’s Landing is a great location on the lake that offered a beautiful covered pavilion for our ceremony and a wonderful banquet hall looking out over the water for the reception. The colors were black and white and we used butterfly accessories to decorate here and there. The patio was great as well because the venue allows cigar smoking there, which was perfect since both my husband and I smoke cigars. (It’s how we met.)

There were some funny moments during the ceremony as Rich picked an inchworm off my shoulder and the best man got buzzed by a giant bumble bee. The most special thing was all the love shown to us by our family and friends as we started our married life together as husband and wife.

My wedding dress was another highlight of this whole experience. My mom and my sister cried as soon as I put it on. Then I looked in the mirror and cried too. It was not at all like any of the pictures I had been cutting out of magazines, which were very simple but elegant ball gowns. This dress was not simple, but very ruffly and girly and beautiful. It made me feel like a princess.
